English Raw 50 Rank 1 || Maths Rank 2 || Highschool Extension University Maths First Class Honours || 99.55 ATAR || 2 Years Tutoring Experience Intro: My name is Niklas, I'm a first year Science student at the University of Melbourne, and I have a passion for teaching and education psychology. I am currently studying applied and pure Maths, but also plan to study computing and machine learning. My Credentials: Last year I completed VCE with an atar of 99.55 and 2 perfect scaled scores in Specialist Maths and Maths Methods, ranking second in my school for Specialist Maths. I also achieved a perfect 50 raw score in English, co-duxing my school in the subject. I completed 5 other subjects in year 12; German, Japanese, Physics, Chemistry, and University Maths, with all my subjects scaling above 40 and with First Class Honours in University Maths. My Teaching Philosophy: My teaching style is structured and output focused. Most students seem to learn most comfortably when information or methods are presented to them with a clear purpose and application. This means we go over new topics with emphasis on the application of content learnt, spending a portion of each session on application questions or examples which get you to apply what you learn immediately, with a constant feedback loop. I would be happy to take a look at any practice essays for English, provide my own feedback, and give exemplar responses for prompts and texts. My Hobbies: Badminton and Tennis.
