They like to have big classes where it's often difficult for students to get personalised advice and can sometimes feel overwhelming. My tutoring style is a lot more personalised, where I teach concepts in a logical and clean manner so that you can gain a deep understanding of the content. In my teaching, I also place a focus on helping shape the mindset you tackle questions with. Having the wrong mindset, especially in logic-heavy subjects such as maths and economics, is often a key barrier amongst students, preventing them from seeing the right approach to answer each question, so it is important to help clear any misunderstandings in how we think about a question. Sometimes it's the smallest and most obvious things that trip us up! It's a common experience to become frustrated on a tricky question that you just can't seem to get, and then suddenly have an a-ha moment which unravels the whole problem. Having the right approach to questions can help us get there much faster. I offer round-the-clock feedback and guidance on questions and offer online and in-person tutoring. One-on-one is perfectly fine, but we can't underestimate the benefit of having different opinions and ideas in small group classes!
