Hi, I’m Ben! ⭐ 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student at UNSW ⭐ ATAR 99.05 ⭐ Robotics Mentor at Barker College I was Dux of Marist College Eastwood (2024) and an HSC All-Rounder (Band 6 in 13 units), and a recipient of the Kevin Torpey Engineering Scholarship 🎓 I've tutored students one-on-one from Years 3–12, and I also mentor students in robotics at Barker College. Tutoring and coaching has genuinely been one of the most fulfilling jobs I’ve had. I love seeing students grow in confidence, understand concepts more deeply, and those moments when things finally click. Having worked with students at many different levels, I’ve learned how to adapt the way I explain things depending on how each student learns best. Some students prefer step-by-step explanations, others learn better through practice questions or talking through problems together. Being a school prefect also helped me develop strong communication skills, so I focus on explaining ideas clearly and simply so students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging in the lesson.
