Hi, I'm Rishi, a recent HSC graduate from NBSC Manly Campus with a strong background in mathematics, physics and problem-solving, attaining an ATAR of 97.7. I achieved high results across my HSC subjects, including Mathematics Advanced (94) , Mathematics Extension 1 (44/50), Physics (89), Economics (93), Business Studies (94) and English Advanced (91), whilst also ranking highly within my cohort, including placing 3rd for both Economics and Business Studies. With my previous tutoring experiences, what shapes my teaching most is that I understand how improvement actually happens. Earlier in Year 11 I was ranked near the bottom of my grade before steadily working my way up to the top few students. Because of this, I understand where students commonly get stuck, why concepts don’t always click the first time, and how to explain ideas clearly and patiently. My approach focuses on building strong foundations, developing clear problem-solving strategies and helping students build confidence in their ability. I especially enjoy working with students who feel overwhelmed or discouraged, helping them break difficult concepts into manageable steps so they can approach exams and assessments with clarity and confidence. I will be commencing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Computer Engineering at the University of Sydney as part of the Dalyell Scholars program, where I look forward to further developing my skills in mathematics, computing and engineering.
