I’m Cara, a passionate and supportive tutor committed to helping students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills and achieve their personal goals. I offer tutoring in Business Studies, English Advanced, English Extension I, English Extension II, History Extension, Modern History and Studies of Religion I, as well as a range of subjects for students in Years 7–10. I graduated from Kambala as an Honour Roll student in both Year 11 and Year 12 as well as a HSC All-Round Achiever, achieving consistently high results across the humanities. My HSC results included: Business Studies — 94/100 Design & Technology — 93/100 English Advanced — 95/100 English Extension I — 49/50 English Extension II — 48/50 History Extension — 48/50 Modern History — 92/100 Studies of Religion I — 48/50 (accelerated) Having recently completed the HSC myself, I understand how overwhelming assessments, competing deadlines and exam preparation can feel. My approach is focused on making difficult content more manageable while giving students practical strategies they can apply independently. I have experience tutoring students across a range of year groups, including primary school and high school students, and have worked with students preparing for both school assessments and the HSC. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, whether that means working through challenging concepts, improving essay structure, completing practice questions, preparing for an upcoming assessment or developing a consistent study routine. My tutoring resources include personalised lesson materials, essay plans, practice questions, exemplar responses, feedback on written work and exam preparation. I aim not only to help students improve their marks, but also to develop the confidence and independence to succeed without relying on a tutor.
