My approach emphasises the importance of building a solid foundation in basic concepts and gradually layering on more advanced material. This ensures students develop a comprehensive understanding of the topic, which will serve them both in the classroom and beyond. 1. Building a Strong Foundation In subjects like math, chemistry, and physics, I believe that mastering the fundamentals is key. Before diving into more complex problems, students need to have a strong grasp of the core principles. Whether it’s understanding algebraic equations, the periodic table in chemistry, or Newton’s laws of motion in physics, I ensure that my students build confidence in the basics first. 2. Customised Examples and Focused Problem Solving I tailor my examples and practice problems to address each student’s individual weaknesses. Rather than relying on generic worksheets, I focus on providing personalised practice that directly targets areas where the student needs the most improvement. This approach allows us to make the most of our time together and ensures that the student develops problem solving skills specific to their needs. My goal is to help students gain the skills to tackle any problem on their own, not just give them the answers. 3. Extensive, Personal Notes I provide my students with personalised notes that I’ve used to achieve my own academic success, the very notes I created and used to excel in math, chemistry, and physics. These notes serve as both a learning tool and a reference guide, highlighting the key concepts, common mistakes, and strategies I found most useful. 4. 24/7 Communication and Support One of the best aspects of my tutoring service is the 24/7 communication I offer. I want my students to feel comfortable reaching out whenever they need help, whether it's with homework, last-minute exam prep, or a concept they’re struggling to understand. Unlike traditional classroom settings, I’m available outside of scheduled lessons to provide the support they need, whenever they need it. This on-demand support helps ensure that my students never feel stuck or isolated in their learning. They can reach out for help at any time, which allows them to stay on track and continue making progress. It’s also a great way to keep students engaged and motivated, knowing they have access to help whenever they need it. 5. A Holistic Approach to Success My goal as a tutor isn’t just to help my students pass their exams — it’s to help them truly understand the material and gain the skills they need for long-term success. I want them to be well-prepared not just for the next test, but for the challenges they’ll face in higher education and beyond. By focusing on both conceptual understanding and practical application, I help students become more confident problem-solvers. Whether they need visual explanations, step-by-step guidance, or interactive examples, I adapt my approach to suit their learning style, ensuring they gain the tools they need to succeed. I am open to both one on one and small group sessions.
