Throughout Year 12, one of the biggest shifts in my approach was moving away from memorising methods and towards actually understanding what was going on. Over time, I focused more on building a clear understanding of the underlying ideas behind each topic. As that understanding improved, I found it much easier to deal with unfamiliar questions, avoid common mistakes, and consistently pick up marks. I also make an effort not to waste time. Each lesson has a purpose, targets weaknesses directly, and ensures consistent progress, as I understand how valuable a student's time is especially as the HSC edges closer. It’s never too late to improve. I’ve seen how much progress can be made within a relatively short period of time with the right adjustments.
