Hi, I’m Amber, a passionate English tutor with a strong academic background in Language and Linguistics, specialising in grammar and syntax. I hold a Bachelor of English Language and Linguistics and a Master of Linguistics, and I am currently completing a Master of Teaching. Having completed my secondary education in the UK, I achieved A grades equivalent to a high ATAR (90+ equivalent) under Australian standards. This strong academic foundation, combined with my advanced studies in linguistics and education, allows me to deeply understand how language works - not just what to write, but why it works. I specialise in helping high school students strengthen their essay writing, analytical skills, grammar, and textual interpretation. My background in linguistics enables me to clearly explain complex language concepts, improve clarity and structure in writing, and build students’ confidence in both creative and analytical responses. As a future qualified teacher, I design lessons that are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals - whether that’s improving overall performance, preparing for exams, or striving for top band results. My specialisation in grammar and syntax directly supports essay writing, paragraph development, and the construction of clear, cohesive arguments.
