Hello! My name's Chelsea and I'm a first year uni student looking to support primary, high school and HSC students through tutoring, specialising in science. I graduated from Smith's Hill academically selective high school (Wollongong) in 2025 with high rankings in all subjects and a 96.95 ATAR. I am currently in the Dalyell stream at USyd and studying a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (medical science and genetics majors), and would love to do tutoring work alongside this.
As a rural student who tackled 12 units whilst balancing 4 hours of travel for school daily with multiple extracurriculars; I understand the importance of developing effective study strategies in a schedule that works for you. I found that gaining a deep conceptual understanding of difficult parts of the syllabus was the best way for me to study, as I could then apply this extensive knowledge to a variety of different question types.
After genuinely enjoying my high school subjects and overall school experience, I will approach tutoring with the same enthusiasm, dedication and passion I invested into my own studies. Beyond simply being able to answer questions, I will support students in exam technique strategies, building confidence in themselves and breaking down topics and questions step-by-step with clarity. Beyond academic support, I aim to provide a supportive and approachable environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and gaining independent learning skills.
Additionally, sessions can be highly flexible, focusing on content understanding, exam preparation, study skills and assignment support depending on the needs of each student.
