I'm currently studying a double degree in Actuarial Studies and Applied Finance at Macquarie University as a recipient of the Macquarie Business School Academic Excellence Scholarship. I recently graduated from Perth Modern School with an ATAR of 99.50 and a WACE Certificate of Distinction. Besides this, I've had almost 3 years of tutoring experience, including group classes as well as one-on-ones. In this time, I've mastered how to adapt my teaching style to each student to maximise their learning. As I am currently studying in Sydney, my lessons are run online through Zoom. I utilise Screen Sharing and an Apple Pencil to illustrate and go through worked solutions in an easily understandable way. For example, I help my students identify their strengths and weaknesses, goals, preferred lesson format, and what specific topics they would like to focus on. I will also ask for information such as current grades, school curriculum and textbook used. This allows me to prepare a customised lesson plan for each student, ensuring the student can dive straight into learning during the first paid session! *Time taken for the consultation may vary e.g. may be shorter for primary school students who do not have specific grades or textbooks.
