Hi, my name is Ashlin and I am a 19 year old university student currently studying at The University of Queensland in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Masters of Engineering program. I tutor Year 11 and Year 12 Maths Methods and Physics. I've graduated from high school at the end of 2024 and currently on my second year of my degree. My academic results include strong QCE results across all subjects, an ATAR of 96.15 (98.15 adjusted for UQ), and high marks in Maths Methods, Physics, Chemistry, and Specialist Maths. I was awarded with the Australian Defence Force 2024 Future Innovators Award. I have also completed GCSEs in England. My teaching style is patient, clear, and supportive. I focus on explaining concepts step by step, using worked examples to help students understand not just how to solve questions, but why each step works. I believe strong fundamentals are key, so I spend time strengthening basics before moving on to harder problems. I aim to help students who struggle with confidence or feel unsure about core concepts. Lessons are tailored to each student, with practice questions and guided explanations to build both skill and confidence. I also help students improve exam technique alongside understanding the content, so they feel prepared and less stressed. I am committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
