Online Tutoring is Available || TRIAL LESSONS FOR $50 MARKS: 47/50 Ext 2 English | 46/50 Ext 1 English | Hi :) I’m Caitlin, a student currently studying at the University of Sydney for a Bachelors of Science and Advanced Studies (Adv) - which I’m majoring in Marine science and Geology/Geophysics. But most people don’t like to hear me talk about rocks lol 😂 My Tutoring Experience: I have a year of experience tutoring and teaching music to students from ages 3 to 14 years, which has helped me develop many tools for working with children. Some of these tools include creating term long games for students that struggle with attention spans or entertainment when struggling! I let students help me plan out what they want to do each at the beginning of each term in the first or second half of the lesson, allowing them to think creatively as well as critically. Through this experience alongside my teaching job, I have found a passion for aiding students to find what they love about the subjects we are expanding on. Some things about me! As someone who loves music, I’ve had the opportunity to learn both clarinet and bass guitar. This has opened up multiple opportunities to playing in bands which has lead me to build confidence and team working skills, which I have found useful in teaching! i also am a MASSIVE bookwork and love sharing books whenever possible as it lets me live in a creative space adjacent to my studies. My favourite subject in Highschool was English extension 2, where I melded my artworks into creative writing as a way to examine the human psyche. This was really fun as I tried to be more of an extrovert and talk to people :D Additionally, I also enjoyed advanced maths and biology as these are the subjects I currently use the most in university. Subjects I teach: English (Including HSC English Adv, Ext 1 and Ext 2) Maths (Including HSC Maths Advanced) Science (Including HSC Biology) HSC Visual Arts Availablity: Thursday: 2:30-4pm and 5-6 and 7-8pm Friday: 2:30-4:30pm and 7:00 - 9pm Sunday: 9-10:30am and 12:30-2:30pm Prices: Online: One high-school subject: $50-60 an hour Two high-school subjects: $60-70 an hour Anymore subjects prices and be discussed depending on what they are. Note: HSC subjects will be a base cost of $60 an hour. Face to Face: One high-school subject: $60-70 an hour Two high-school subjects: $70-80 an hour Anymore subjects prices and be discussed depending on what they are. Note 1: HSC subjects will be a base cost of $70 an hour. Note 2: These are more expensive as travel and in person teaching is different to online. Additionally, in person tutoring will take place at either the student’s home or a nearby library.
