Hey, I'm Sanindu, a graduate of North Sydney Boys High School (NSW's top-ranked school) and current Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine student at Griffith University.
With over 2 years of tutoring experience and the HSC fresh behind me, I know its ins and outs and understand exactly what internal and external markers are looking for. My teaching style is flexible, focusing on the transferable skills and techniques applicable across the syllabus so students from any school are welcome.

Coming from such an academically competitive environment during high school, I felt almost forced to go to tutoring colleges out of fear of falling behind, and I did. For years, I tried different agencies. Ironically, it was through that experience that I came to realise the value of a private tutor as someone who not just teaches the content, but someone who can provide the genuine individual support we need as students. Thatโs the type of tutor I aim to be: a ๐๐๐๐๐๐ who goes beyond the subject matter to help with study planning, refining exam technique, and more.
I'm also a firm believer in quality over quantity. While many of my peers were clocking 8+ hours of study a day, I've found that efficient systems get the same, if not better, results without the burnout. I admit, I hit that wall myself, and it was humbling. But rebuilding my approach around efficiency rather than pure hours genuinely helped so much.

Sanindu has been an outstanding mentor for me and I could not recommend him enough. I first reached out to him in my HSC year of the accelerated course information processes and technology (now Enterprise Computing), as he had previously state ranked the course, and had the expertise and knowledge in order to assist me. Sanindu brought out the best in me by changing my approach to exam style questions to be aligned at a state rank level, as he had developed his own heuristics and techniques for an exhaustive amount of problem types. These heuristics that he had developed, alongside a plethora of resources that were aligned with the HSC syllabus, prepared me extraordinarily well to approach the HSC examination and ultimately achieve a state rank.
Sanindu was also an excellent tutor for Prelim Chemistry and Mathematics Extension 1, and his heuristics to approaching questions were similarly well structured, and what was more impressive was his resources that were able to replicate my internal exam style questions. My ability to recognise patterns and convey my ideas especially in short answer response had improved infinitesimally as sanindu genuinely showed me the nuances and specific tricks that seperate an average answer to a top mark response. My improvement was backed by my initial struggle in Chem within my cohort being ranked near the bottom, yet by the end of the year had ended up in the top 10. What differentiated him from other tutors was his capacity to explain more nuanced concepts in math and chemistry to a fundamental level that others lacked the foundations to get to, which were necessary as foundations for exams.
I could tell Sanindu is and continues to be a mentor who genuinely wants the best for his students, due to his willingness to go above and beyond his role as a tutor, as after every examination he would be the first to ask post exam, and would have encouraging but constructive advice after assessing my weaknesses. I have no doubts that all students he continues to take will be in good hands due to his holistic expertise on both the academic and communication fronts and highly recommend him to any student who looks to deepen their understanding beyond the exam's level.
