About
⭐️ 99.80 ATAR ⭐️ Academic Executive of The King's School ⭐️ HSC 2025 All Rounder ⭐️ 50/50 Music Extension ⭐️ Accelerated Extension 1 Mathematics ⭐️ 2400 UCAT (96th percentile) ⭐️
Hey there! I'm Aidan, and I graduated from The King's School with a 99.80 ATAR. I was within the top 10 ranks in all of my subjects during school, which I owe to my experience with organising time effectively and creating a practical study schedule. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney, with a particular interest in further exploring Medicine.
💡💡More About Me💡💡
In High School I took pride in a broad and challenging pattern of study. I thoroughly enjoyed Y7-11 Economics, History, and PDHPE, however I chose to direct my attention towards Maths Extension 2, Music Extension, Physics, and English in Y12, with the following results:
📌 99.80 ATAR
📌 Music Extension: 50/50
📌 Music 2: 98/100
📌 Maths Extension 1 (accelerated): 96/100
📌 Maths Extension 2: 96/100
📌 English Advanced: 95/100
📌 Physics: 93/100
💡💡Not Just Academics!💡💡
However, my most valuable lesson occurred outside the classroom. My experiences as the Executive Prefect for Academics, alongside commitments to Cadets, Theatre Productions, Rowing, and Music Ensembles, taught me the importance of a healthy balance between Academics and personal passions (extra-curricular achievements are displayed on the 'Achievements' section). This is a core principle I aim to pass on to all my students.
I am also a proud musician! I was the Music Captain at school, with an LMusA Diploma on the Cello, an AMusA Diploma on the clarinet, and a Grade 4 Musicianship High Distinction certificate. On top of subject tutoring, I also offer private music tuition (see below for prices).
💡💡My Teaching Style💡💡
First and foremost, in tutoring sessions I seek to foster a genuine bond of mentorship with students. I believe that there are several nuances to a person's cognitive approach to learning that can be difficult to work around if not properly acknowledged from the onset. Therefore, I want to deeply understand a student's learning style, so I can be right beside them as they turn their academic potential into reality.
1️⃣ Identify content gaps and weaknesses
I want to ensure students understand the conceptual links between content. Often, students have simply memorised their notes but struggle to demonstrate their knowledge in extensive ways. So, lessons begin with interactive discussions to identify key focus areas and learning priorities.
2️⃣ Build confidence in new content
I have collated an extensive set of EXCLUSIVE teaching materials, personal notes, and unique past paper questions for students to solidify new content. I will assign regular homework, revision questions, and in-class tests, personalised for each student's learning approach, to target their identified weaknesses and track their progress.
3️⃣ Prepare for exams by applying knowledge
It's widely understood that doing multiple past papers will enhance one's performance in an exam. However, unless approached the right way, this can actually be harmful for a student's mental assurance and motivation. By practicing tailored exam questions written by myself and repeatedly ironing out the smallest errors, student's are guaranteed to be exposed to ALL question types with multiple strategies on how to answer them, whilst maintaining confidence in their own improvements.
💡💡What School's Don't Teach💡💡
I place a strong emphasis on:
📌 Conceptual understanding rather than "rote learning"
📌 Developing a student's critical thinking skills for "curveball questions"
📌 Building a student's confidence and independence in their own academic ability
These qualities are often overlooked in the broad learning environments at school, yet are of utmost importance for every student. It is this foundation for knowledge that cannot be found anywhere else. So, whether you are feeling overwhelmed with extra-curricular pressures, struggling to build confidence in your academic ability, or seemingly stuck in the "average" range, I would love to work through these challenges with you in weekly, 45-90min tuition sessions.
💡💡Lesson Details💡💡
I offer free trial sessions for every student, for which you will only be charged if you wish to continue further lessons. The prices for below are for Y12 subjects only. Prices for Y7-11 subjects (incl. Economics) start at $50/hr.
📌 One-on-one Tutoring (Online OR In-Person): $70/hr
📌 Group Online Tutoring (classes of up to 10): $60/hr
📌 Private Music Lessons (Cello, Clarinet, Saxophone, Musicianship): $80/hr
Lessons can be conducted in person or online, and there is flexibility for increased sessions or follow-up support where needed.
Overall, I aim to provide structured, supportive, and high-value tutoring that helps students unlock their potential and develop skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
