⭐ 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟! 𝟰𝟬𝟬+ 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲! | Brendan Kang Here! I graduated as the JMSS Proxime Accessit Dux with an ATAR of 𝟵𝟵.𝟳𝟬. With raw study scores of 𝟱𝟬, 𝟰𝟲 and 𝟰𝟳 in VCE Maths Methods, Specialist Maths and Physics respectively, I am confident in the content I teach, how it is assessed and in optimising my students' approach to questions and VCE. I am now studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master's Accelerated Program at Monash University. I have succeeded in multiple National/International Maths and Physics competitions: 🏅 Member of the medalling Australian team in the 38th International Young Physicists' Tournament 🏅 3x consecutive AMC High Distinctions 🏅 Physics Olympiad High Distinction. I offer small-group (up to 8 students) classes for VCE Mathematical Methods (Units 3/4), Specialist Mathematics (Units 1/2 & 3/4) and Physics (Units 3/4) - Location: Hughesdale (3166) venue in-person (5 min walking distance from Hughesdale Train Station) alongside online classes. 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: 1. The idea that a strong conceptual foundation is far stronger than memorisation. I don't just teach the numerous complex formulas, but rather, I teach the underlying principles behind each one. The 'Why' is easily more important than just the 'What'. It is crucial to overcome the pressure of the VCE exams, where a student's worst fear: a mind blank, comes to fruition. 2. Most people are visual learners. I create high-quality diagrams & coded animations with math-based software that leads to the easiest intuition of topics and understanding. 3. There is a strong correlation between the number of practice exams you complete and your final exam score. That's why I prioritise helping my students start practice exams ASAP, starting midway through the year. 4. Building habits including error analysis, practice questions and even self-improvement habits that last beyond the VCE. Like a conceptual foundation, the more you consolidate your habits, the easier it will be to achieve success.
