7+ years tutoring experience | years 1-12 & special needs Hello! I’m Martha, an enthusiastic master’s student and research scientist. I have tutored for over 7 years, teaching students from years 1-12 from both private and public educational backgrounds. I have additional experience tutoring students with special needs, or those who speak English as a second language, and use a compassionate, gentle learning approach to allow each student to feel supported. After graduating with a 95.2 ATAR, which included Band 6 marks in English Advanced and Biology, I began a double degree of Medical Sciences (neuroscience specialty) and English Literature from Macquarie University. While studying I worked on glioblastoma and melanoma research projects in various hospitals, and graduated with distinction and a scholarship for my Graduate Diploma in Research. Now, I am part-way through my Master of Research in literature and medical humanities which I am studying under a full academic scholarship, in addition to working as a hospital research assistant. As I endeavour to become a lecturer, I am passionate about teaching and adapting my approach to each individual student. I am highly familiar with NSW’s curriculum requirements and marking criteria, and would love to help you work towards your ATAR goals, or simply becoming a better student.
