I'm Edwin, and I'm a retired IT professional with over 30 years of experience in building financial systems. Tutoring has been something that I've enjoyed doing since I was a university student many years ago when I worked part time as a private tutor. I've always had an interest and enthusiasm for mentoring and helping students reach their potential, and now that I'm retired, I am revisiting this long-time passion of mine with the goal of helping the younger generation achieve bigger and brighter results. I've had over 3 years of experience providing tuition to school students, and under my mentorship, I have had students obtain admission into medicine. I have always been very interested in mathematics myself as a subject, and I also believe that it is the subject that is very important across many scientific fields. A good understanding of mathematics is also imperative for many aspects of daily life, including accounting, taxes, running a business, and in dealing with other professionals in the future. My philosophy for mathematics is that it is a subject that requires a solid foundation to be built from a young age to be carried forward to higher levels. It is only through having a solid foundation that a student is able to succeed in understanding the more complex concepts, which start to increase greatly in difficulty from the start of secondary school onward.
