Hi there! I'm Sophie, and I recently graduated with an ATAR of 99.8. I have a keen passion for helping students at all levels to effectively improve their studying and academic skills in a manner tailored to their needs. I provide tutoring for the following HSC Subjects (+ the relevant subject areas for younger students): Maths Extension 1: 97/100 Maths Extension 2: 94/100 Latin Continuers: 96/100 (97 external mark) Latin Extension: 49/50 Chemistry: 93/100 (94 external mark) (Not currently offering English tutoring services): English Advanced: 95/100 English Extension: 47/50 I'm going to keep things simple and tell you the three main areas I aim to help students with: confidence, precision and consistency. I greatly believe that achieving high results does not come from being naturally gifted or sudden revelations the night before an exam. Instead, it is through embracing the learning journey with confidence, precision and consistency that allows students to break ineffective study habits and doubts to improve their results and achieve personal bests. I won't bore you with a detailed outline of my strategies and approach, as I believe this differs for everyone and requires student input to ensure the most desirable output. This is why I always offer a discounted first lesson to understand students' needs and tailor my teaching! I have been tutoring students since high school, and they have achieved results that I believe are a testament to my dedication as a tutor 💙 - My student in Year 6, preparing for scholarship tests, received a 100% scholarship to St Catherine's School (ranked 21st in 2023), despite initially lacking confidence. - My Tara student in Year 7 improved her English marks from 80% to 95%, and her Maths marks from 85% to 93% within a term!
