Hi! My name is Jake and I graduated from The King's School in 2025 as an All-Rounder with an ATAR of 99.45, achieving a state rank equivalent mark in Modern History. This year, I will be commencing a Bachelor of Commerce/Law at UNSW.
Having been projected an ATAR of 80 at the end of Year 11, I understand how discouraging it can feel to score average marks with middle-of-the-cohort ranks, despite working very hard. By the end of Year 12, I graduated with a 99.45 ATAR, ranked 1st in 3 subjects, and achieved a Band 6 (90+) in all 6 of my subjects. As a tutor, my goal is to emulate this academic progression for all my students, helping them improve their marks and ranks by maximising their potential.
My teaching style combines an extensive understanding of the syllabus and content with targeted, high-yield practice questions and in-depth explanations, ensuring students have both breadth and depth in their preparation for any exam that will make them more confident, and ultimately, more successful in their academics.
For Year 11-12 students, I offer:
- One-to-one online tutoring for English Advanced, English Extension 1, Modern History, History Extension, and Economics.
- Unlimited assistance, advice and feedback via message beyond lesson times.
- Access to state rank and exemplar essays, essay plans, notes and responses for all provided subjects.
- Small group tutoring upon request.
