With 7 years experience as a tutor and teaching assistant, I am ready to help you achieve your academic goals! I am currently studying the Doctor of Medicine degree at UWA. I also hold a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology, a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate of Population Health Studies. My lessons are suitable for high school and university students who want to improve understanding, build confidence, and develop better study habits alongside their content knowledge. My tutoring style is student-centred and strengths-based. I focus on helping students understand concepts properly rather than relying on rote memorisation, while also teaching subject-specific study strategies that actually work for biology, human biology, and psychology. A large part of my sessions involves working through exam-style questions and practice problems so students feel confident applying their knowledge under assessment conditions. I usually tutor for one hour at a time, which I find is the most effective length for maintaining focus and making steady progress, though this can be adjusted if needed. I have experience tutoring students from Year 7 through to undergraduate level and have worked both as a private tutor and as a university teaching assistant.
