Hey! I'm Liam, a 2025 graduate of Sydney Boys High School with an ATAR of 99.70. Studying a Bachelor of Laws and Economics at USYD. Outside of academia, during high school I served as School Vice-Captain, Captain of the AAGPS First Grade football team and was part of the NSWCHS First Grade debating team.
I believe in a conceptually driven form of teaching, ensuring students understand the "How" and "Why" behind content and theory. As a student, I never did any form of tutoring so I would love to share the tips and tricks that effectively and efficiently fast-tracked my learning. I also know what it feels like to be a student that puts in a lot of effort and doesn't see the respective results, and have had personal experience overcoming this academic roadblock. I believe that constant feedback and personal assessment is necessary for academic progress - both of which I'll provide to my students at the highest level. I believe that as a private tutor, I will invest more time and effort into my students than any impersonal tutoring college possibly could, guaranteeing the best results.
I have had prior experience teaching. Currently, I am tutoring a student in year 12 who is now first in Sydney Boys High English Advanced and second in economics. Two other students also received an A-Range response in their English advanced task 1, with one student improving from an 11/20 in Year 11 task 3 to a 17/20 in HSC task 1.
I am offering tutoring for any of my above listed subjects and their precursor subjects (e.g. math advanced/standard, commerce, year 10 English etc.).
- Lessons are personalised towards how the student learns
- Termly classes involves ten weekly 1-2 hour lessons with preprepared lesson notes
- Weekly homework and quizzes are also expected
- 24/7 online help to students, including feedback and homework marking
- Students can choose to do a mixture of subjects within any lesson if they wish
I am willing to do in person tutoring around the Sutherland Shire and St George area, whether at a library or home visit. Alternatively, I provide online lessons at a cheaper rate.
My Rates:
$70/hour for 1 on 1
$50/hour for a group class (minimum 2 people)
