About

What I am studying now: I intend to study a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English, commencing in 2026. My academic background and strong performance across both creative and theory-based subjects have shaped my interest in teaching and supporting students in achieving their best outcomes. My best subjects and marks: Visual Arts has been my strongest subject throughout my schooling, where I placed first every year from Years 7–12. In Years 11 and 12, I maintained an average of 95% across all internal assessments, with a preliminary mark of 97% and a final scaled HSC mark of 89 (one mark below Band 6). My Visual Arts Body of Work was nominated for ARTEXPRESS and received a mark of 46+ out of 50. I also achieved strong results across other subjects, including Hospitality (Food & Beverage) with a scaled mark of 80, Drama and English Advanced with scaled marks of 75, and Mathematics Standard 2 with a scaled mark of 73. My teaching style: My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on breaking down syllabus requirements and marking criteria into clear, achievable steps, while encouraging students to think critically, creatively, and with confidence. I aim to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their ideas. How I can help as a tutor: As a tutor, I support students in improving assessment results, strengthening their understanding of course content, and developing high-quality responses aligned with marking guidelines. While I cannot directly assist in the creation of major works, I am able to provide detailed feedback, guidance, and suggestions for improvement. Sessions will primarily focus on theory-based work—including content comprehension, visual analysis, essay structure, and syllabus application—unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon. Drawing on my firsthand experience achieving top results, I help students feel organised, motivated, and confident in their abilities, particularly in Visual Arts and English.

Education

I am, without a doubt, an avid visual arts enthusiast with a deep passion for studying and discussing artists across a wide range of disciplines, particularly those rooted in postmodern practice. This passion is reflected consistently in my academic results throughout Years 7–12. During Years 11 and 12, I maintained an average of 95% across all internal assessments, with a preliminary mark of 97%. I placed first in Visual Arts every year from Years 7–12 and possess an extensive and well-rounded understanding of the course and its marking criteria. In addition to Visual Arts, I completed the following HSC subjects and achieved these scaled marks: Drama: 75 English Advanced: 75 Mathematics Standard 2: 73 Hospitality (Food and Beverage): 80 Visual Arts: 89 (one mark below Band 6) My Visual Arts Body of Work was nominated for ARTEXPRESS, placing it within the top 500 works in the state, and it received a mark of 46+ out of 50. Beyond academics, I take great pride in my extracurricular involvement. I actively volunteer with the NSW State Emergency Service and have extensive experience in the performing arts through local theatre companies, including Roo Theatre Company and Woods Ray Theatricals. I have participated in over 20 theatrical productions to date. My accolades include, but are not limited to: Shellharbour City Council Young Citizen of the Year, the ADF Long Tan Leadership Award and Scholarship, the Stephen Jones Active Citizen Award, first place in Hospitality (Years 9–12), first place in Visual Arts (Years 7–12), School Leader (2024–25), SRC representative (2020–25), selection to attend the National Youth Leadership Camp (June 2025), recipient of the Illawarra Principal’s Recommendation Scholarship (2025), and acceptance into the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), Los Angeles Campus for Film and Television, with a $100,000 scholarship. I would be delighted to support and guide your child in achieving excellence in the arts.
