About

2026 Enrolments Open | VCE Bio/Chem + English Lang/Lit | 4+ Years Experience | Students: 40+ RAW (2025) | BSc (Distinction ) | Published Research Author Hi, I’m Sarah! I have over 4 years of tutoring experience, and I work with students across a wide range of abilities from those who need support building foundations, to high-achievers aiming for top performance. I take on a limited number of students (upto 8) to ensure each student receives high focus, consistency, and quality support. Subjects I tutor: - Years 5–10: Maths, English, and Science (as needed) - Biology 1/2 & 3/4 - Chemistry 1/2 & 3/4 - English Language (Year 11 & 12) - English Literature (Year 11 & 12) I’ve completed my Bachelor of Science at Deakin University with Distinction, majoring in Human Biology, and I’m currently in my Honours year. This allows students to not just get “answers” but also clear explanations, strong academic structure, and the kind of learning approach that builds real understanding. Over the years, I’ve built a large library of curated resources, and students get access to: - my own notes, slides, worksheets, and practice sets - model responses + writing templates (for essays, analysis, SACs) - a clear learning plan (so they know what each session will cover) - access to a shared Google Drive folder with notes/worksheets tailored to their needs - structured homework tasks when appropriate (short, effective, and goal-based) What I Value Most: - clarity where students should leave lessons understanding why, not just memorising - Confidence in tasks - consistency (small improvements each week create big results over a term) I’ve worked with tutoring agencies, but I now focus on one-on-one private tutoring because it allows for better personalisation and stronger outcomes for students. I offer a free consultation before any commitments to understand each student’s complete learning profile which is their current level, strengths, gaps, goals, and learning style and to see if we are the right fit for each other. My Rates as follows: Years 5–7 (1:1): $50/hr Years 8–10 (1:1): $55/hr Years 11 (1:1): $60/hr Year 12 (1:1): $65/hr Group tutoring (2–3 students): $35/hr per student. Feel free to message me! I would be delighted to help!

Reviews

I’ve had an amazing experience with my English tutor, Sarah. She was patient, encouraging, and good at breaking things down so everything finally makes sense. She’s helped me improve my essays, build confidence, and actually enjoy English more. I always leave sessions feeling supported and more prepared. Highly recommend!

Sarah has been my tutor since Year 11, and throughout that time she has consistently gone above and beyond. She taught me Biology 3/4, Chemistry 3/4 and English Language. Her ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, structured way made an enormous difference to my understanding and confidence. She always came prepared with targeted resources, practice questions and strategies that helped me improve across all three subjects. I was able to improve my SAC scores by 10/12 points and score a RAW 40 in English Language and RAW 42 in Biology this year (2025) with her support. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dedicated and encouraging tutor
