Hello, My name is Jonathan. I am a student of the University of Newcastle, currently going into my second year of university for my Bachelor of Mathematics. I believe that to obtain good marks in an exam requires more than a conceptual understanding of the subject and that familiarity with the formatting of the questions is necessary if you hope to get 100% on an exam. HSC extension 1 and 2 maths are intimidating, as the exams are made to be very difficult. However, the exams are difficult because the questions are made to test the flexibility of your math skills, as the "hard" questions require sufficient awareness of some concept or method in maths to be solved. This inevitably separates the students that have studied from the students that have studied well. As such, I intend on helping HSC students by teaching a strong conceptual understanding of the subject and by helping students become familiar with the methods associated with each question so that they are confident in the exam.
