Hey, my name is Thyagi! I am studying the Bachelor of Philosophy (honours)- science, a research focused selective science degree at ANU with the National University Scholarship. I have a 99.95 ATAR equivalent (4A*s and 1A from Cambridge & Edexcel IAL) and did AL Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Maths and Physics. I've always been a very empathetic person and so i'm able to quickly understand when students are struggling with certain concepts & am able to patiently work through difficult concepts using a multitude of different approaches.I love learning and whenever i'm teaching I try to inspire the love for learning in my students too. Watching students grow more confident in interacting with the subject that they were initially struggling with is so rewarding and I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to improve a student's confidence in their subject. Fluent in both English and Sinhala, I can connect easily with students from varied backgrounds and also adapt my teaching style based on individual differences. I'd love to be a part of your academic journey whether it be with Chemistry or Maths or Biology or Psychology.
