I would make a strong tutor and mentor because I can draw on my own academic journey and the learning strategies that helped me overcome challenges during school. Through experience, I have learned that how you study is just as important as what you study. By changing my learning approach, I significantly improved my Mathematics Extension 2 results in Year 12, and this showed me the power of effective study methods. I am passionate about sharing these strategies with students, helping them build strong foundations, develop confidence, and become independent learners who can achieve long‑term academic success. I ensure my students to receive support by providing free online feedbacks, communications and practice exams before assessment tasks with feedbacks. In Year 11, I performed strongly in Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1, consistently achieving over 90% in assessment tasks. This success motivated me to choose Mathematics Extension 2 in Year 12. Initially, I found Extension 2 highly abstract and struggled to achieve the same level of results, with my marks dropping to around 70%. However, after reflecting on my challenges, I adapted and shifted my study approach. Through this change, I made significant improvements in Mathematics Extension 2, ultimately ranking 7th in my cohort and achieving a final HSC mark of 95. I am confident that my experience of progressing from struggling to excelling allows me to effectively support students who are facing similar difficulties and help them improve both their results and confidence. My genuine wish is to help as many people as I possibly can to achieve their mark for their dream university degree.
