Hello! My name is Dylan, and I am a dedicated Mathematical Methods tutor – consider it my specialty. I am currently studying Medicine at UQ. Undoubtedly, top marks are a prerequisite for a good tutor – I received an ATAR of 99.90 and achieved 100/100 for Mathematical Methods – but, academic success alone doesn’t equal effective teaching. Rather, I pride myself on my patience, clarity, reliability, and fostering understanding rather than rote memorisation. If there’s one important rule when learning math, it’s that, fundamentally, math is a skill. Just like learning a musical instrument or mastering a sport, it requires consistent, focused practise guided by correct technique, and this mindset and approach is what I aim to cultivate in my students. I also recognise that each student is unique, and love personalising sessions to each student’s preferences and learning styles. I have both a valid Blue Card and a current AFP police check.
