Hi, I’m Ria — and here’s how I survived (and actually thrived) in Year 12 English 📚✨. I know how overwhelming English can feel. Between trying to memorise quotes, interpret abstract themes, and somehow make it all sound smart in a timed essay... It’s a lot 😅. I’ve been there — and I get it. When I was in Year 12, Advanced English felt like this never-ending pressure. But through trial, error, and a lot of figuring things out along the way, I found a way to make the subject feel less like a chore and more like something I could actually enjoy 🌟. I ended up achieving [insert mark] in HSC Advanced English — but more importantly, I learned how to approach texts in a way that felt personal, engaging, and effective. And that’s exactly what I now help my students do. Why I tutor — and how I help students succeed I’ve been tutoring Year 12 English for over a year now, and one thing has become very clear: students don’t just need someone to throw essay templates or quote banks at them 🚫. They need someone who listens, meets them where they’re at, and genuinely cares about helping them grow into confident, independent writers 💬. My goal is simple — help you not only lift your marks 📈, but truly understand how to think through a text, connect with characters 🎭, and express ideas in your own voice 🖋️. I teach the strategies I wish I’d had earlier: how to unpack a question properly, link themes seamlessly across a paragraph, and avoid those generic, overcomplicated intros we all fall into. This approach has delivered consistent results — many of my students have ranked in the top three of their cohort 🏆, achieved Band 6s, and scored internal marks above 90% ✅. I’ve guided students from mid-Band 4s to strong Band 5s and Band 6s, with several topping their school in English by the time the HSC came around 🎉.
