Hi, I'm Shirin, a Chemistry tutor for high school students, with over 4500 hours of professional tutoring experience, and a PhD in Nanotechnology from UTS in Sydney. I am highly enthusiastic about Science, especially Chemistry, and I strive to help my students feel the same fascination with the subject as I do. I take the time to get to know each student’s strengths and areas for development, and I focus on creating a comfortable atmosphere for my students to ask questions. I am a member of the Australian Tutoring Association (ATA), and have a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Having lived in London for 7 years and worked for their top tutoring agency (where I received personalised tutor training), I have taught students from countries across the globe, including the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Canada. I have also been tutoring students in Australia since 2010 when I was a uni student, and it was during my uni studies that I discovered my love of tutoring and ultimately chose it as my career.
