Hello! My name is Roseanna and I am a second-year university student at UNSW studying a Bachelor of Science/Arts, majoring in Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy. I have 2 years of tutoring experience with students ranging from 9-18 years of age, as well as an additional 2 years working with children from 5-12 years of age. I have tutored students privately, with a company, and within my high school. Online tutoring is preferred as it works much better with my university schedule, but reach out and we can discuss! I graduated from Brigidine College St Ives in 2024 with an ATAR of 98.35 as an All-Rounder. I placed third in my cohort and my marks for the following subjects are as follows: - Drama: 93, with an OnStage Nomination and a placement on the Reserve List (3rd in cohort) - English Advanced: 94 (1st in cohort) - English Extension 1: 48 (1st in cohort) - English Extension 2: 47 (2nd in cohort) - Modern History: 94 (3rd in cohort) - History Extension: 47, with a Certificate of Excellence awarded by the History Teachers Association (2nd in cohort) - Studies of Religion II: 92 As a tutor, I have a very strong understanding of the syllabi of my chosen subjects. I will guide you through areas you may need help understanding, or improve your essay structure and analysis for senior subjects so that you can achieve your academic goals in your HSC. For students from years 7-10, I will help you build fundamental skills that will become transferable across all your subjects, especially once you reach senior years. Having worked with adolescents and young adults for years, I also have very strong interpersonal skills that enable me to connect with my students and help them feel that academic success is not just a number on the exam but also an ability to think critically and analytically about any given topic. I care about my students and tailor my approach according to their needs, because I believe anyone can learn anything when they can connect with the content. I have also worked with students with autism, as well as students whose first language is not English. I truly enjoy teaching and mentoring others, and am looking forward to working with you! Pricing: I offer a trial lesson for $40. If you're happy to continue sessions with me, my regular hourly rate is $70. Except for emergencies, cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $35 cancellation fee. If you wish to meet at an in-person location, a location further than 5km from a train station will incur an additional $6 travel fee. I take cash or bank transfers.
