Hi! 👋 I'm Charlotte, a university student studying a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Bachelor of Mechatronics through the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Do you offer a free trial lesson? At this time, no. Unfortunately, trial lessons, especially over the summer break, more often than not result in students who take one lesson for an assignment and are then never heard of again... I am looking to tutor students who I can help throughout their full journey, so that I am able to provide resources and study plans specific to them as I grow to understand their learning methods. However, if you are interested in being a one-time student for assignment help, I am happy to accommodate requests, providing my student spots for the year have not already been filled. Q. What do lessons look like? My lessons will vary depending on the student, especially as I have students with very different needs. I have students coming to me who want to learn content ahead, while others need help with specific assignments and others are just struggling to catch up and understand in classes. However, overall my lessons will usually consist of 5 minutes of any required recap before diving into the week's focus, and 5 minutes at the end to remind students of required tasks for the next lesson. I also send weekly updates to parents unless they decide to opt out. Q. How long is a typical lesson? I accept lesson times up to and including four hours, but if parents/students request any session over two hours I insist (both for my own and the student's sanity) that a break is included of at least 15 minutes.
