I am currently finishing my P.H.D. thesis in physics, and I am undertaking part time work teaching mathematics and physics at Swinburne University's Mathematics and Statistics Help Centre, where I help with queries regarding the first year Mathematics units and first year physics units. I also have previous experience as a laboratory demonstrator for 2024-HS1-PHY10001-Energy and Motion-H1 at Swinbunre University. My teaching style includes finding out a students background on a problem before giving advice, and having them explain their problem to me instead of telling them an answer. I find that the explanation they give often allows them to solve their problem themselves, and if not, it can allow me to identify the source of the difficulty. If a student or myself identifies a weaker aspect of understanding, I like to discuss a long term strategy to improve it. Students are free to contact me anytime for help, and classes will be tailored to suit a student's needs near assessments. My rates are $50 an hour for one on one and $40 an hour for group tutoring. I am also more than happy to provide lower-priced tuition to those with financial disadvantages.
