About

Hello! I am not a student but a passionate and experienced university teacher with a deep love for helping young learners excel in Chinese and anthropology studies. I hold degrees in Education (Bachelor’s), Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (Master’s), and Educational Anthropology (PhD). Languages have always been my strongest subjects — I have excelled in Chinese, English, German, and Mongolian — and I love sharing this passion with my students. My Teaching Style I believe every student is unique, so my classes are always tailored, engaging, and built on mutual respect and trust. I aim to create a fun and comfortable learning environment where students feel understood and supported like good friends. How I Can Help You I am particularly good at diagnosing different learning styles and challenges. Together, we will identify what works best for you and create a clear, effective path to reach your goals in the most enjoyable way possible. I look forward to learning and growing with you!

Education

I am an experienced and dedicated Chinese language tutor with a solid academic background and nearly three decades of teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, and a PhD in Educational Anthropology (Specialise in Education Policy of Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders). Since 1997, I have served as a tenured university lecturer while also engaging in various part-time teaching roles, including teaching at primary and high school levels and authoring educational books. My extensive experience covers not only classroom teaching but also designing personalized learning pathways and providing effective language coaching tailored to learners of different ages and proficiency levels. I am passionate about helping students build a strong foundation in Chinese language and culture, and I always aim to inspire confidence and enjoyment in my students’ learning journey. I look forward to bringing my expertise and enthusiasm to support students in achieving their Chinese language goals.
