I'm a 2024 graduate of Fort Street High School who currently studies Aerospace Engineering at UNSW. As Year 12 went on, it became glaringly obvious that prioritising your understanding first before you get into past paper question spam was the most important thing for anyone looking to get really good at a subject. Too often I find students treating learning as straight question spam, causing them to rote learn the whole syllabus without knowing what's really going on. This is hard to pull off as you get to Year 12, and will in almost 100% of cases fail. At this point, with how much content there is too get through, many feel as if they're too behind to catch up. That's where my value as a tutor comes in. Right now, I am primarily focused on helping students who are really struggling, but have a strong desire to improve and bring out the best from themselves. I have consistently helped students at *as low as 30-40s* up to a 80-90s level through an understanding-based approach. All that I need from you is a genuine desire and dedication to improving yourself - at the end of the day, while I may be tutoring, it is still up to you commit to the work. However, I am also more than capable of helping high end students get their marks up from 80-90s up to consistent mid-to-high 90s - this was something I worked really hard on doing in Year 12, and as a result, I believe I have built up a highly effective method that (1) ensures consistent high marks while also (2) leaving you time to study for other subjects. So what should you expect when you join me? When you join me, we will always start with a skills assessment session. This involves: a) Testing you to see what level you are at b) Specifying your specific issues and topics you need work with c) Using these to create a tailored lesson structure that effectively tackles your problems From there, we will have weekly lessons where we address your fundamental issues. Once we are done with that, the long-term goal is to accelerate and go over content early so you have ample time to prepare for exams (and other subjects), in line with getting you the best mark possible. Throughout this process, I will supply effective, tailored resources and past papers from a lucrative question bank that I curated together with one of my friends.
