Hi, my name is Celia and I'm a passionate and approachable tutor with a strong academic record and a genuine love for helping students succeed. I achieved a perfect raw score of 50 in VCE English as an Additional Language (EAL) and a study score of 40 in Chinese SLA in 2024 and graduated from Strathcona Girls Grammar School, where I was proud to be the International Student Leader.
In VCE, I studied Mathematical Methods, Physics, Biology, Chinese Second Language Advanced, Economics, and EAL. My broad subject base has given me a solid understanding of both the sciences and the humanities. I was also actively involved in extracurriculars, including rowing, GSV hockey, badminton, and volleyball, so I understand the importance of balancing study with life.
Currently, I tutor primary school students in Math and English, as well as Year 7–12 students in English. I’ve developed experience across a range of year levels and learning styles, and I always tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs. I focus not only on improving academic performance but also on building confidence and motivation.
I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which helps me support students from diverse backgrounds and communicate clearly with both students and parents.
