Hi! My name is Vivien and I’m a private English and Maths tutor! As a student who had a bit of a hard time during the HSC in regards to studying, I hope to use my experiences to support and guide other students academically and emotionally, through what can be a stressful and overwhelming time. So just a bit about my past academic achievements, I graduated from St George Girls High School in 2024 and came First in Course HSC English Advanced with a mark of 95 and First in Course HSC History Extension with a mark of 47. Other achievements include a mark of 48 for English Extension 1, 91 for Maths Advanced and Modern History. I’m now studying a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce at UNSW. In my high school career, I have felt that tutoring has made such a large impact on my educational achievements and would like to help other students with their academic goals in the same supportive environment that had helped me succeed. My goal as a tutor is to both provide a positive learning environment for improvement in academics, but also a safe space for students to talk to and rely on, as they progress through their academic career. In my career of teaching, I have taught a variety of students ranging from Year 7-10 and HSC English and Maths. I have also taught students with ASD, which gives me some experience in catering unique lessons for students with special needs. I offer tutoring for: 7-10 English and Maths English Advanced Year 12 Texts: 1984, Hag-Seed, TS Eliot, Nam Le, and Zadie Smith.
