About

I'm a Japanese postgraduate student currently studying at the University of Melbourne. I lived in Japan for 23 years before starting my master’s degree, so what I can offer goes beyond just the Japanese language. I’m happy to share insights into Japanese culture, from everyday life and traditional events to food, music, and anime. I’ve been studying Computer Science for seven years, both in Japan and Australia, and I’m happy to talk about student life in both countries if you're interested in that too. As a native Japanese speaker who developed English skills independently to reach postgraduate level, I can also offer useful advice on language learning, not just as a tutor, but as someone who has experienced the journey of learning a second language. I would describe myself as open, approachable, and responsible. I look forward to meeting you in class!
