Hi there, my name is Anthony and I am a recent 2024 high school graduate, having achieved an ATAR of 99.75. Currently, I am a student at the University of Sydney studying a Bacheleor of Oral Health. In my own studies, I have recognised that while school content may change over time, fundamental skills - higher order thinking, time management, curiosity for knowledge - remain constant and continue to drive the learning process. As such, my teaching philosophy centers on helping my students develop an efficient study system they can apply to any learning context. Regardless of the subject, my lessons are highly flexible, focusing on what each student needs to maximise both their understanding of the syllabus and their application of these core skills. What I teach: Mathematics (Year 7-10) Science (Year 7-10) Mathematics Advanced Mathematics Extension 1 Mathematics Extension 2 Physics In my approach to the subjects I teach, I aim to help students: 🎯Learn how to identify and understand the syllabus content 🎯Learn how to understand the language of the question and the hierarchy of questions 🎯Develop procedural knowledge by providing and breaking down exam style questions 🎯Develop conceptual knowledge through inquiry based learning - getting students to ask “Why is this important?” and “How does this relate to what I know?” If you are interested, feel free to send me a message where we can discuss further.
