Hey! My name is Aaron, I am currently a first year student at WAAPA studying the bachelor of music course on jazz piano. I have been playing the piano for 16 years, oboe for 7 years and violin for 10 years, during which I have played in a wide range of ensembles. Most notably, I was a part of the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2022 and was a member of the Western Australian Youth Orchestra for 5 years with the role of concertmaster during 2023. In 2024 I graduated with an Atar of 97, scoring 95 in music and achieving a 100% wace practical mark on the violin. Currently, I am studying jazz piano working towards performing and composing music on a greater level. I'm extremely passionate in teaching music to all ages aiming to make my lessons filled with lots of fun and excitement! Having been part of the first cohort to complete the newly structured Music ATAR course — and having studied the same set works — I'm confident in helping students navigate the curiculum effectively with practical study tips and effective strategies for succes. I currently provide lessons at my home in Ascot inlcuding piano, violin lessons and tutoring in music theory and the Music ATAR course for year 11 and 12 students.
