Hi! My name is Emma, I love academics and performing arts, and was recently accepted into New York University for both, however, I now study in London! I offer online tutoring for HSC and Preliminary subjects, as well as singing and acting. My best subject in my HSC was Legal Studies, where I received 15/15 for the Crime Essay and ranked first. I maintained ranks within the top five for all of the subjects I studied from years 10-12. I was school captain and balanced this role with studying and extensive performing arts training, and still received an ATAR of 93.20, meaning I have a variety of efficient study techniques to share. I find tutoring to be most effective when it is student-led. I want to know what your goals are. Is it to get a 99.95? Or, is it to simply feel more confident when writing an English essay? Both are just as valid as each other, but require very different types of teaching. Why spend an hour revising content if what you need support with is writing essays? I am super open to feedback and am very transparent with my students, maintaining the fact that what worked for me in high school may not work for them, and that's okay. It's about finding the methods that work best for you. I hope to work with you soon!
