I am currently studying a double degree in Engineering and Computer Science at UNSW. I specialise in High School Mathematics, and offer homework help, targeted lessons, and exam preparation with a unique focus on the student. I achieved an ATAR of 92.45, with a 96 in Extension 2 Maths and a 95 in Extension 1 Maths as part of the 2023 Baulkham Hills High School cohort. 💡 What You Can Expect 💡 📌 Focusing On The Student: In my lessons, the student takes first priority, with a customised teaching plan tailored to each student’s needs and goals, as well as readily available out-of-session access for free on any social media platforms. 📌 Unique Range Of Experiences: An understanding and hard-working tutor, I have experience teaching students who might be struggling with motivation, have learning support needs, or have significant gaps in their knowledge. 📌 Convenient And Effective Sessions: My sessions are structured using scientifically proven methods to maximise learning and retention, maintaining a balance between theory and practice as according to the student’s needs. 📌 Open communication: Open communication is a high priority in my lessons, such that I, my student, and their parents are always in the loop about the student’s goals and the progress we are making towards success. As part of this, I offer optional 'check-in’ sessions each term with the student and their parents, establishing plans, addressing any concerns, and ensuring everyone’s goals are being met . 💡 My Teaching Philosophy 💡 At the core of my teaching philosophy is a heartfelt dedication to helping each individual student discover their own best way to learn and grow. Paired with a powerful focus on each student’s goals, strengths, and weaknesses, I work closely with each student and their unique learning styles to equip them with the tools for success — mathematically, academically, and in everyday life. Both as a teacher and as a student myself, I understand that exam stress can be incredibly detrimental to academic performance, often leading to heavy impacts on students’ motivation and confidence.
