Hi! I graduated from Normanhurst Boys in 2024 with a 98.35 ATAR. I achieved the top band in Math Ext.1 and Ext.2 as well as Chemistry, and I have been teaching Selective and High School Prep for THREE Years. My goal is not just to ensure that my students understand each concept thoroughly, but also to foster a sense of love and interest for the subject they are studying, as I believe success begins with the student, and how willing they are to learn, rather than the resources and teachers they have access to. Lessons offered: - Math (Adv, Ext.1) Year 7-12 - Chemistry Year 10-12 - General High School and Selective Prep Lesson Details: - 1 1/2 and 2 hour sessions offered - $70/hour - Group tutoring sessions available with lower prices Location: Online, in home or in public spaces (Library, Cafe etc. (student's choice)) My Approach to Tutoring: I take a student-centered approach, adapting lessons to each student’s learning style and needs. My focus is on building confidence, breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. I try to keep lessons engaging and interactive, using real-world applications, discussions, and problem-solving exercises. Teaching Techniques: Active participation—students don’t just listen; they explain, question, and apply concepts. I use a mix of: - Visual aids for clarity - Step-by-step problem-solving - Exam-style questions to build confidence - Lessons are structured but flexible, ensuring we cover key content while allowing for deeper exploration. Sessions include: - Quick review of previous content - New topic breakdown with clear explanations - Guided and independent practice - Final summary and Q&A Qualifications & Who I Teach: I have 3 years of teaching experience, primarily tutoring Mathematics to Primary School students and Year 7-10 High School students. I am well equipped with the strategies that top HSC performers use to maximize their success in the HSC, and I am more than willing to share these techniques to ensure my students have the capabilities to reach their full potential. On top of this, I have vast resources accumulated from numerous cohorts, spanning most HSC subjects that will ensure my students are more than prepared for their upcoming tests. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment to ensure that my students will undoubtedly find their way to the top of their school's Honor Roll!
