𝟵𝟵.𝟴𝟱 𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗥 | Dux in English Hi, I'm Terry and I specialise exclusively in English tutoring About me: Growing up and walking the arduous HSC journey without a strong financial backing made me realise there was a very real problem for ambitious students that couldn't afford premium prices for private-tutoring. My educational journey was made incredibly frustrating because I had to scour inaccurate textbooks, talk to unreliable teachers, and be conditioned in an environment where I couldn't achieve my potential. That's what makes me truly passionate about teaching. I also provide termly examinations which will be marked and ranked to give a quantitiative measurement of how your child is doing. 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 Amongst the state rankers in science I’m working with, excellent results have been achieved: - Tony Chen, Sydney Boys 2024, moved from 79% to 94% - Jason Phan in 2025, got 99.95 and 1st in North Sydney Boys - 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗷𝗶, 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝘂, 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻 2025, moved from a 56% in English Trials to 91 in HSC. - Josh Wang, James Ruse, 2025, moved from 64% in Year 11 English to 97 in HSC. I treated maths like a video game. When I sat down for a session, I was aiming to just level up that little bit more than yesterday; to gain a few more equations for my toolbox, and applying them to increasingly exotic questions. Studying english was so pleasant because I could see its direct usefulness to society. I set out to try see the utility from my other subjects, making studying them fun too! 𝑆𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚𝑠: learning maths was formulaic to me. You followed reliable processes to brew a mumbling-jumbling mess of a question into a neat and ordered final solution.
