Hi my name is Emilie, I am 24 years old and I have just graduated from a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physiology. I am continuing my studies in this area by completing an honours year in Biomedicine at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I completed the International Baccalaureate in 2019 and received the highest scores in French, Biology and Chemistry. At university my highest scores were in my core subjects (such as anatomy and physiology) and in French ranging from 83% to 93%. Tutoring: - French conversation - French grammar, conversation and writing - Biology (incl physiology and anatomy) at university and IB level - Psychology IB Experience: I am a fluent and native speaker in both English and French. I have good experience with teaching both children in primary school and high-school teenagers in grades 11 and 12 from my time working at the Presbyterian Ladies college in Burwood Melbourne. I worked as a french conversations teacher for VCE and IB students in groups of 1-5 girls and a primary school teachers aid for the French bilingual program. Teaching Style: I cater the way I teach to the needs of each student. Before every lesson, I will usually ask the student the way in which they would want to approach their lessons and I will ask them what kind of learner they believe they are (audio, visual ect) in order to adapt my lesson plans to their needs. During sessions, I will usually use either a white board or my Ipad when explaining concepts. I have found that this works well with students as I can send them screen shots at the end of each session so that they can take notes and refer back to it when needed. At the end of a lesson, I will finish off with a summary of what we have achieved and ensure that any questions are either answered or written somewhere so that we can start with those the next time we see each other.
