First, I emphasise a deep conceptual focus within my teaching, ensuring that students grasp the underlying principles rather than relying on rote memorisation, allowing them to develop critical problem-solving skills. To hone such skills, I highly emphasise consistent and targeted practice, setting realistic tasks for students to reinforce key concepts and promote mastery. Secondly, I place a big focus on precise, elegant mathematical communication (working-out) as whilst most students will possess the knowledge necessary to undertake an exam, the top students will additionally master how to effectively and efficiently convey such knowledge under time pressure. An example script demonstrating the tenets above is available upon request. In today's highly competitive environment, students must be acutely aware of the demands placed upon high academic achievement, especially in Mathematics. It is simply no longer enough to go through the motions completing textbook chapters (the material of which does not necessarily translate to exam-style questions) each week only to cram past papers at the last minute. Textbook chapters as an initial source of learning must be completed quickly to move on to practising exam-style questions and past-papers. I have a wealth of resources and past-papers collected over years to enable this process. As a tutor I will endeavour to foster a love for learning to facilitate this arduous process and even if I fail in this task, students will still be able to access a simplified pathway towards success in Mathematics. The correct attitude will always trump lazy natural talent in Mathematics. My rates are as follows: $80 per hour for private $60 per hour for groups
