MY TEACHING APPROACH.
- Creating a supportive environment that encourages students to ASK questions, not keep to themselves
- Breaking down complex ideas step-by-step in a patient manner until it genuinely makes sense to the student
- A highly personalised and tailored approach to accomodate for students who learn at ALL different paces
- Clear explanations that build long-term understanding, not memorisation.

What I offer FREE OF CHARGE as part of my service.
1. UNLIMITED QnAs outside of lessons (via text, phone call, or otherwise)
What this looks like: If a confusing concept has come up during the week between our lessons (whether it's not being sure how to complete a question, something a school teacher might've said that was confusing, or anything at all) you shoot me a text. I reply within 24 hours with an answer, and sometimes if necessary, with a full worked solution to your question with detailed annotations over things to look out for, where you made the mistake, how to not make the same mistake again, etc.
2. Providing INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED worksheets to students with compilations of exam-style questions from past papers, textbooks and other resources that are HANDPICKED by myself.
What this looks like: If a student has just completed an area/chapter of study, I will spend the time outside of a lesson to curate revision worksheets, using questions that I handpick from various resources such as past papers. As a result, these worksheets become extremely tailored to the student via the handpicking process - for example, I would increase the quantity of questions that may have been weakpoints for the students throughout the chapter and adjust difficulty according to the student's needs and goals.
3. FULL access to my bank of Chapter Topic Tests, worked solutions, worksheets and notes for mathematics that I have manually curated through my years of teaching and schooling.
4. FULL access to my other 96+/100 HSC subjects' resources (subject notes, English essays, etc) in order to provide as much guidance as possible to the student's other subjects if they happen to share the same areas of study that I did (upon request).
5. Additional mentoring, advice and guidance for the undergraduate medicine pathway. This involves the UCAT examination and Medicine interview skills.

WHY MY STUDENTS SUCCEED.
The number 1 reason why my students have consistently ranked higher in their mathematics cohorts is due to the learning environment I create with them. I prioritise an atmosphere of encouragement, patience, and openness, where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgement. They always become more passionate about the subject as a result.
Many capable students underperform simply because they hesitate to ask questions when something doesn’t make sense. When confusion isn’t addressed early, it compounds. I work actively to prevent this by encouraging questions at every stage and by patiently revisiting explanations as many times as needed until understanding is genuine. Personally in high school, it wasn't until I met a teacher who emphasised this very environment when my marks started to take a leap in maths. Understanding this, I applied it to my own teaching since I began and many of my students have said it was the thing they appreciated most about my lessons.
The other big reason that my students succeed is the way I teach them how to think so that they retain information in the long-term. Maths is unlike many other subjects - achieving the highest marks requires far more than memorising and rote-learning theory. Instead of teaching my students what to write, I teach them the full thinking process behind approaching a problem: what area of study is the question drawing from? Why do we go in this particular direction to solve a question? How can I recognise questions of a similar type in the future? This approach allows students to handle unfamiliar questions with confidence, reduce careless errors, and retain knowledge long-term. Over time, my students have become independent problem-solvers rather than over-reliant on memorised steps.
