| 99.50 ATAR MEDICAL STUDENT | 4 YEARS OF TUTORING EXPERIENCE | Hi, I’m Shriya! I graduated in 2021 with a raw ATAR of 99.50. I completed mathematical methods, physics, chemistry, and integrated learning, and was lucky enough to get into my dream course of medicine. Having gone through the challenges of getting into a competitive degree, I know how overwhelming and daunting high school can seem. But, with the right support and guidance it definitely doesn’t have to be. I personally got tutored in high school and found it to be so valuable. The 1-on-1 connection you build with your tutor can offer a much more personalised learning experience than what’s possible in a classroom filled with students. In the past two years of tutoring, I’ve learnt the importance of working with students to understand their unique needs– whether that being to understand tricky concepts, improving study habits and building confidence, or fine-tuning skills to secure those crucial marks – and developing a plan of how to best help them achieve this. Although I initially found high school challenging, through identifying my weaknesses in each subject and implementing effective study techniques, I was able to improve my performance. In my tutoring lessons, not only do I share these strategies, but I provide a bank of resources (including detailed notes, past exam questions + practice papers + worksheets), examples of my own assessments, and offer constructive and comprehensive feedback on internal and external assessments.
