Hi! My name is Lilian, and I graduated from Wheelers Hill High School in 2024. I’m proud to have earned the highest ATAR ever recorded at my school, an accomplishment that reflects my commitment and determination throughout my studies. Coming from a public school, I understand the challenges many students face in comparison to those in private schools, particularly when it comes to resources like additional tutoring, extracurricular programs, and personalized attention from teachers. Despite not having external tutoring support in subjects like Math Methods and General Maths – both of which I’m offering to tutor – I was able to achieve excellent results by utilizing self-study techniques and staying focused on consistent practice. I believe my experience in this regard gives me a unique perspective that I can pass on to my students, particularly in helping them learn how to overcome resource limitations and maximize their potential. Currently, I’m pursuing a degree in Education at university, which is further strengthening my teaching abilities. I have been awarded the Sir John Monash Scholarship for Excellence and I’m passionate about helping others succeed and sharing the study strategies and insights I’ve developed along the way. My goal as a tutor is to make complex concepts more accessible, offer practical tips for efficient learning, and provide encouragement and support for students who are striving to achieve their best. I offer both online and in person tutoring sessions for Math Methods and General Maths (Year 11 & 12), and I’m excited to connect with students who need extra guidance in these areas. For in person sessions, if the library we are meeting is not the Matheson Library in Monash Clayton Campus, I will be charging an extra $10 for each lesson. For trial lessons, I’m also happy to extend them a bit longer so this gives us a chance to work together and see if my tutoring style is a good fit for you without any pressure.
