Hello everyone, my name is Rayaan, I recently graduated from Canberra Grammar School in 2024 with an IB Score of 41 (97.45 ATAR) and I am currently a first-year university student at the University of Sydney studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce. I just moved to Sydney from Canberra, where I attended Canberra Grammar School for four years. Before that, however, I was born and grew up in Sydney, so it's nice to finally be home. I have many hobbies such as playing many sports (football, basketball, tennis), playing chess, travelling, going to the gym and more recently, I have become an avid Formula 1 fan. I have one year and a half of tutoring experience in French, where I worked with students who were struggling during school lunchtimes to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Some of my students improved from C students to A students. This activity started as an opportunity to obtain service hours. However, it soon became an activity that I loved doing as it gave me a great sense of accomplishment seeing results in my students, and it allowed me to help students with all sorts of challenges perform strong academically. Like most, if not all of you, I, too, went through numerous struggles in Year 11 and Year 12, however, I overcame these very challenging years, and I hope to support you, my students, throughout your schooling years (from Kindergarten, all the way to Year 12). My tutoring lessons will be tailored to the students and their specific learning styles and objectives. Lesson plans will involve going through school content in detail, brushing up on exam skills, followed by comprehensive work past exam-style questions. I will also offer to provide feedback on any practice exam responses or any assignments that my students are working on. I will be offering one-on-one lessons of different lengths (1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours), with a rate of $40 per hour online and $50 per hour in person. For group lessons (2-5 people), I will charge $30 per hour online and $35 per hour in person. Subjects offered for tutoring: - Maths AA SL (achieved a very high 7 with a score of 92) - Chemistry HL (achieved a 7) - Physics HL (achieved a 7) - Economics HL (achieved a high 6) - French B SL (achieved a high 6) - Maths (Kindergarten to Year 10 and achieved straight As throughout). - English (Kindergarten to Year 10 and achieved straight As throughout). - Science (Kindergarten to Year 10 and achieved straight As throughout).
