Most students don't need more content.
They need to know exactly what is stopping them from performing when it matters. I tutor students in Years 7β12 across Maths, Science and English, helping them move beyond simply understanding content and towards consistently performing well in assessments and exams.
Here's what every student receives when they sign up:
π Interactive Practice Exams
These aren't just worksheets, past papers, or generic questions taken from the textbook. Students complete realistic exam-style assessments, helping to expose gaps in understanding, and provide immediate opportunities for feedback. We use a data-driven approach, tracking speed-per-question, accuracy drift under timed pressure, and repeating error types over time to maximise improvement.
π― Personalised Error Log
Students use an individualised question mistake logger to transform mistakes into measurable improvement. By analysing lost marks, identifying patterns, and targeting weaknesses with the greatest impact on performance, students develop the self-correcting habits that drive long-term academic growth.
π
Custom-Made Revision Calendar
Students receive a personalised revision calendar designed around their goals, assessment dates, and areas for improvement. Rather than relying on generic study plans, we create a structured roadmap that prioritises high-impact revision, keeps students accountable, and ensures preparation is focused where it will produce the greatest results.
Here is what I am NOT:
β A last-minute exam crammer. (Progress is built steadily throughout the term to reduce procrastination and test anxiety.)
β A passive re-explainer of syllabus content. (I aim to maximise the student's exam performance, not just to re-teach the syllabus.)
β A one-size-fits-all worksheet provider. (All content created is personalised to the individual student's weak points.)
Here's what I offer:
β Detailed feedback and analysis
β Exclusive HSC Resource Drive (essays, past papers)
β Insider knowledge on exam success from #1 selective school in NSW
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. Whether you're trying to catch up, break into the top ranks, or maximise your ATAR, we'll focus on the specific skills and knowledge that will make the biggest difference.

Before I started tutoring, I was averaging around 72β75% in Year 11 Physics. I had already tried another tutor before Kurt, but most lessons ended up being them explaining content then giving me more questions to do. Even though I understood the theory my marks were not really improving.
The biggest difference with Kurt was how every mistake I made actually got followed up. If I lost marks on calculation, misread a question or used the wrong method it would get recorded and we would revisit it later to make sure it didn't happen again. I remember being surprised when he pointed out that a lot of my lost marks were not actually from difficult concepts, but from repeatedly making the same few easy mistakes across different topics.
The practice exams were interactive which made it so much more useful than the tutors I had before who used to just assign me past papers. Instead of just doing random textbook questions I was regularly completing timed assessments and then going through a detailed breakdown of where marks were being lost. It felt a lot closer to real exam prep.
By the end of the year, my Physics assessment marks had improved to the high 80s and olw 90s, and for the first time I felt like I had a clear system for improving rather than just studying harder. If you are someone who already puts in effort but feels like your results do not reflect it, I would definitely recommend giving Kurt a try.

What surprised me most was how much attention Kurt paid to the way I approached questions, not just whether I got them right or wrong. In one of my first Maths sessions, he noticed I was spending nearly 4 minutes on some 2-mark questions and then rushing the harder questions at the end of the paper. I had never realised this was happening until he showed me the timing data from multiple practice exams.
One thing I really appreciated was Kurt was available between lessons when I got stuck. Instead of waiting until the next week I could send through a question and usually get a clear explanation or hint keeping me moving. That made it much easier to stay consistent with study through the term.
I also liked how we kept a record of mistakes from previous tests because it stopped me making the same errors over and over. After a few months it became obvious where a lot of my lost marks were coming from. Having those patterns tracked meant we could actually fix them instead of just doing more questions. I ended up improving much more than I expected and felt far more in control during exams because I had a clear strategy for managing my time and avoiding the mistakes that used to cost me marks.
